Miami City Guide

From deco to design, why Miami is the perfect weekend retreat

Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club

Eat

The Surf Club Restaurant - The storied Surfside club has been freshly renovated, but its Art-Deco flourishes maintain its legendary glamour. With a menu of continental classics and nostalgic cocktails, it’s no wonder this oceanside spot remains iconic all these decades later.

Cecconi's - Expect to find unfussy but delicious Italian food in a lovely garden setting. Located in the courtyard of the Soho Beach House, Cecconi's is an oasis tucked away from the Miami bustle.

Mandolin - This cozy husband and wife owned restaurant is located in a quaint 1940s bungalow in the Design District. The Mediterranean-inspired decor and Greek and Turkish small plates, make you feel like you're dining along the Aegean coast.

Casa Tua - The name means “your house,” and though the villa is a gorgeous spot to dine, it’s the lush gardens that truly set Casa Tua apart. The Italian menu, which focuses on organic, ethically-sourced ingredients, offers palette-pleasing hits from the creamy burrata to the made-to-order gelato.

The Drexel - The humble descriptions on this Casa Matanza destination’s menu downplay the expertise behind each mediterranean-inspired dish. Focused on elevating simple dishes, The Drexel delivers with perfectly charcoal-grilled meats, locally sourced seafood and decadent housemade pastas.

Shop

The Webster - This is a multi-brand luxury concept store that is not to be missed. Housed inside a historic 1939 Art Deco building, its eclectic edit of designer fashions this shop has become a Miami institution.

Curio - Set aside some time to explore this 20,000-square-foot space. The Faena District showroom curates emerging talent in fashion, food, art, and more for truly unique luxury finds.

Gee Beauty - Our favourite beauty family's Miami outpost brings together the best of beauty, wellness and lifestyle products. Or spoil yourself and stop by for one of their in-studio signature treatments.

Mrs. Mandolin - A lifestyle concept store and café from the owner of the Aegean bistro Mandolin. The cozy shop is a carefully curated mix of home and fashion wares inspired by the owner's travels in the Mediterranean.

Miami Design District - Redeveloped in the early 2000's, the area has become a cultural hub of the city. Its luxury shopping and contemporary art galleries are redefining Miami cool.

Wynwood Walls - One of the most instagrammed spots in the city, the colourful street art is a must see when visiting the hip Wynwood area.

Stay

Soho Beach House - One of the newest additions to the exclusive Soho House portfolio, the hotel boasts a distinctive old-school vibe with dark wood accents and Spanish floors.

Four Seasons Hotel at the The Surf Club - After undergoing major renovations, the iconic Surf Club reopened in 2017 with its signature Floridian glamour still intact. The rooms have been carefully crafted by French designer Joseph Dirand and the dining scene is Michelin-star quality.

Faena Hotel - This hotel is a maximalists dream. With bold interiors reminiscent of the dramatic glamour of the 1950s, the hotel tapped filmmaker Baz Lurhmann as a creative consultant.

Angler's Hotel - If you're looking for a cool boutique hotel vibe than this is the place to be. Located in the heart of South Beach, this Mediterranean Revival is a private sanctuary in one of the buzziest neighbourhoods.
